For sensors and circuits that need to run on 6 to 24V, this adapter is an easy solution to integrate it with your Phidgets system. The PSU2002 plugs into a VINT port and steps up the USB voltage as high as 24V DC. There's a trim pot on the board to adjust the power source to the desired level, and the source can be turned on and off by toggling the state of the digital output of the VINT port it's connected to.
Note: This board was previously specified to be able to output a minimum voltage of 5V. After further testing, we've discovered that many of them cannot be set below 6V, so the specification needed to change. We apologize for any users who have been affected by this. If you plan to have a switchable 5V source, we recommend using the PSU2000 instead. If you need to arrange for an exchange, please contact Support.
This device can be controlled by a VINT Hub. For more information about VINT, have a look at the VINT Overview page. You can use a Phidget Cable to simply and easily connect the two devices. Here's a list of all of the different VINT Hubs currently available:

Use a Phidget cable to connect this device to the hub. You can solder multiple cables together in order to make even longer Phidget cables, but you should be aware of the effects of having long wires in your system.

The PSU2002 is a simple way to provide 6V - 24V DC power to a circuit or sensor. You interact with the PSU2002 through the Digital Output Channel Class to turn the power on and off. The output voltage can be adjusted using the trim pot.
Double click on the Digital Output channel class under the port your PSU2002 is connected to.
Before you open a Phidget channel in your program, you can set these properties to specify which channel to open. You can find this information through the Control Panel.
1. Open the Control Panel and double-click on the red map pin icon:

This device doesn't have an API of its own. It is controlled by opening a DigitalOutput channel on the Phidget that it's connected to. For a list of compatible Phidgets with Digital Output, see the Connection & Compatibility tab.
