Step 1

Connect your tubing to your water pump.

Make sure the tube is completely connected. You may have to use some force to accomplish this.

Step 2

Connect the water pump wires to the DC Power Source 5V using your screwdriver. Connect the red wire to 5V and the black wire to GND.

Make sure the connection is secure, and no metal is exposed.

If your kit included a PSU2001 (shown right), make sure the adjustable trim pot on the board is set to max.

Step 3

Use an elastic band to attach the tube to the tube clip.

Step 4

Clip the tube to your plant.

Step 5

Place the water pump in your water reservoir.

Note: a glass is shown, however, you may want to use a plastic tub with a lid. You can cut holes in the lid for the tubing and wiring.

Step 6

Place the Moisture Phidget in the plant.

Note: make sure the black connector is well above the soil level.

Step 7

Finally, connect all sensors to the VINT Hub in the following order:

• Moisture Phidget on Port 0
• DC Power Source 5V on Port 1
• Light Phidget on Port 2
