Absolutely love the direction you are heading in with the hardware, are there any plans on creating some Node-RED nodes that hook into a network server?. I've given the phidget22 node library a shot and tried creating my own but not having much success.
I also could use Node-Red nodes that read / write to Phidgets devices. I have some sample code for a couple of devices that a student wrote where they activated Phidget devices using Alexa (search YouTube).
My scenarios are to implement robotic tasks and I think it would make it much easier / faster to write code and implement ideas by using Node-Red.
I'm open to paying towards this project if needed...
I completely agree with you. Node-Red is a must for dealing with Phidgets. Also read about ModBus, my second prefered choice, as most of industrial PLC and general industrial equipment is based on this protocol.
I would love to have Node-Red in order to send and receive OSC commands, accept TCP and UDP connections, MIDI, and many other protocols that we use to interact with technical equipment on live shows, as mediaservers, sound consoles, DMX lighting equipment... The benefits are infinite.
