The old frequency counters (1054_0B) had 5V available to power a 5V sensor. The new frequency counter (DAQ1400_0) says it works with a 5V sensor but it looks like it only supplies 12 or 24V. What is the recommended method of interfacing this to a 5V sensor? Do I need to add a regulator or an external 5V supply or jumper into the input cable or...? I would rather not do any of those so if there is something simpler please let me know. Thanks.
I have the same question. Unfortunately, the PSU2000 is not carried by the local dealer here in France. However, I was wondering if I could just use a vint port as the 5v source. Much as the analog ifKit ports can be used to power a relay.
