i enabled the log to have a closer look. there is written: "OUT1100 (4x Digital Output Phidget) v100 " is it possible thats the reason why it cant set the frequency? because if i have a closer look at the API there the frequency setting is possible at v120 not at v100. how do i change this...

Another test on a Raspberry Pi 4 was successful. Also on a Nanopi Neo4 its working. the problem seems to be the Raspberry 3B+ USB.

Next update: i installed the phidget22 library on a ASUS tinkerboard. here the setup runs without the detachment problems. is it possible that the 1047-board is not raspberry pi compatible?

Some other update: i tested it on a laptop device with linux installed. there it works without detach problems. therefore the problem is somehow connected to the raspberry pi. i have set the raspberry usb output from 600mA to 1.2A. even though there is a usb-power-hub still in between raspberry and ...

i did some more testing. I installed the phidget 22 library on a windows device. There no errors occur. i can provide power over the 1047 board without any problems. all encoders work without sporadical detach events.
is this a library or software problem on linux?
