Issue Running Python program on SBC3

Postby hansenej » Wed Jun 17, 2015 8:30 am

I’ve been using an interface kit with current sensors successfully for months. Now working to migrate the test to an SBC3. I have loaded Python & the Phidgets but having some problems running the program. Using the web interface, I create a project and upload the .py file, but it will not run. Trying to eliminate my coding, so again using the web interface, created a project IFK & loaded the InterfaceKit-simple.py but still have the same problem. When I view the stderr I get the following:

/etc/webif/init.d/S20IFK: 41: /etc/webif/init.d/S20IFK: /usr/userapps/IFK/InterfaceKit-simple.py: not found

What am I missing here?

Figure I'd better update on the answer I found to my problem. The web interface is only designed to run C/C++ and Java programs. I had to run Python programs from SSH. Once I realized that, things went much smoother.

That true. If you wanted to set up your Python program to run from the web interface, you could create a simple bash script to start it and call that from the web interface.
