I have been cooking a concept in my mind for a long time and now it seems (i hope i am right) phidgets can help me fulfill the dream i have.
I have been dreaming about creating a system for my expedition vehicle, which can provide the following for an extended journey:
GPS coordinates logged every second
Vehicle (Body) attitude readings calculated every .5 of a second
G force and acceleration readings calculated every .5 of a second
Wheel articulation (all 4 wheels) calculated every .2 of a second
Calculate wheel rotation independent for all 4 wheels
Inside and outside temperature readings calculated every 1 minute
I have decided to use the following Phidgets for the above
SBC3 as the nerve centre for all other to connect to it.
GPS module for GPS
Spatial 3/3/3 High Precision module for attitude and G-Force readings
Precision Temperature sensor for inside temp. Need your help on how to measure outside temperature.
Need your help on how to calculate Wheel Articulation and rotation. I have no idea how can i get this done.
This will be for my expedition vehicle which is a Toyota Land Cruiser 1995.
