Two 1122 30A Sensors and a 1011 USB Interface to LabVIEW2012

Hello All,

I have recently purchased the following:
1122 (2off) 30A current sensors
1011 USB Interface kit

I have already been successful in connecting the devices to my PC USB port and getting DC current measurements through the Phidgets software. The measurements are not correct in the software (they are compared with a calibrated inline DC current meter), they come out about 200mA lower on both sensor.

I presume the measurement accuracy is dependant on certain factors, like supply voltage to the sensors?

Anyway the main problem I have at the moment, is finding an example with this setup, in LabVIEW 2012 SP1. It seems to me, that there is an example for everything else Phidgets Inc makes but not current sensors. Once I see an example I can figure out the rest myself.

Any helpful nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.

Since all of our analog sensors look the same as far as the software is concerned, they can all be used with the InterfaceKit examples.

Hello mparadis,

I have done as you suggested and used one of the Interface Examples with success. It simply worked straight away with the Sensor display example.

I can now adapt this example to my needs and calibrate the information with the formula that is provided in the data sheet.

Hello hi mparadis,

I'm using 1123 voltage sensor on phidget interface kit 8/8/8 and display the sensor value and voltage in labview. as the sensor is non ratiometric how to indicate its ratiometric state (in this case it is non) in labview programming?

You can check the ratiometric state of the InterfaceKit by using the IFGetRatio object.

You can set the ratiometric state using IFSetRatio.
