Trouble With Sensors

Postby christian_rivas » Thu Jul 12, 2012 9:11 pm

I bought some sensors and I have an HCS12 Dragon Board Micro Controller. I've looked at the port assignments and it has 16 pins(8 used, 8 unused.) When I hook up my motion sensor the nothing on the phidgets control panel device shows up. I talked to Brian from supports and he said not to buy the 8/8/8 interface kit. Can someone recommend some help. Thank you.

Only Phidget USB devices will show up in the Phidget Control Panel. The motion sensor is only an analog sensor, not a USB device so it will not show up.

If you want to use the HCS12 board with the motion sensor, you will have to attach the motion sensor to an ADC pin and then program the HCS12 board to read from that pin.
