interfacekit 8/8/8 with USB2.0

Postby keith.chew » Wed Feb 03, 2010 10:12 pm

Hi

In Linux, we only have USB2.0 enabled in our setup. For the Phidgets accelerometer, we connect it to a USB2.0 hub, and we can detect and use it under USB2.0.

However, for the interfacekit 8/8/8, we get a "device not attached" message. We know the board works because if we temporarily enable USB1.0, all is fine.

Is there anyway to get the interfacekit 8/8/8 to work under USB2.0?

Regards
Keith

USB 2.0 is supposed to be backwards compatible with USB 1.1 - which is what our boards use. I'm not sure why you would be seeing different behaviour on the accelerometer and interface kit. What linux distro/architecture are you using - sound like a bad host controller driver.

Hi Patrick

You are correct, it was a faulty HUB. Replaced with a different one and it works fine.

Thanks again for your help.
