using USB port of interface kit

Postby jpm » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:12 am

I am a newbie to phidgets. I have got a 8/8/8 interface kit that is connected to my laptop. Working fine for controling my relays. But I am planning to connect one of the USB port of the kit to a serial adapter to send messages to a motor controler (BTW it will be nice to have a phidget providing analog output say from 0 to 5V and +/- 0-10V). I have not found any example of the use of USB port for the kit (except for using available phidgets). Is this manipulation possible ?

Are you talking about the 1019? It's just a USB hub connected to an interfacekit. All of the USB ports on it are normal USB ports, and would be controlled just like any other USB port on your computer.
