Debian/Ubuntu repository for Phidgets Library

Postby jldupont » Tue Nov 24, 2009 2:34 pm

I have prepared a Debian/Ubuntu repository for the Phidgets Library. It is available https://launchpad.net/~jldupont/+archive/phidgets.

That's very kind, JL. Any chance you could get Launchpad to build for Intrepid (8.10) as well? I'm on a netbook that can't handle the 9.X upgrade.

On the next release, I will try including an Intrepid package too.

Thanks for posting this. Would you mind posting a Lucid package too? :)

I wonder if he's been keeping up with the repository. The last post was several months ago.

You can always compile the libraries yourself on Lucid. It only takes a few minutes. :)

It's true. I prefer not to duplicate effort if possible, though, or introduce multiple sources for the same thing unless there's a good reason.

Seems there is reason to do so now, though, what with the 2.1.7 release. I'll see what I can come up with...

I'll come around to doing it. If someone wants to share the packaging project to increase timely release, send me a private message ( jl >at< jldupont.com ).

I actually just meant compiling the drivers yourself, not providing a package yourself.
