1062 - PhidgetStepper - more power

Postby steintech » Tue Jul 14, 2009 9:28 am

I have some stepper motors that require more than 1 amp to drive them properly so I was planing on adding a darlington transistor to the outputs and running them off of another external powersupply. I was just wondering if there would be any functionality problems ( such as build in current sensing that requires direct connection to the load etc).

More power would be also my need. I can see some solution in darlington arrays ULN2003A, but does there already exist something? With power supply and also symetric power supply for bipolar motors?
