Glass protection for distance sensor

Post by Megametrope »

Hi there,

We bought some Distance Phidget 1300mm to use it in a museum.
We would like to protect the sensor and prevent dammage or dust accumulation.
Do you provide a glass or a compatible protection...or can you help us by advincing us a good product for this?

Thanks for your help.
Best regards.

Christophe.

We don't have any product available or specific recommendation, but for most industrial glass and plastics the manufacturer will provide a datasheet and you can check the transmission characteristics (usually a line plot). For the DST1002, you'll want a material with good transmission of light in the 900-1000nm range.
