PSK2 RF/16 modulation with (Phidget 1024 board)

Postby Marcel » Tue Jun 23, 2015 7:26 am

Hi,

i am fairly new to RFID and have a question before i get time wasted on something which is maybe not possible with the reader / software. I need to know if it is possible to implement a third modulation mechanism in the phidget library to support other tags with PSK2 RF/16 modulation. I looked into the C library and found the Manchester and Biphase modulation but its hard to understand at the moment. I just need to know if there are maybe hardware or driver issues which makes this impossible.

Best Regards

It may be possible. I don't know if there is enough bandwidth on the USB steam for RF/16 - we use RF/64. If you define RFIDUSB_RAWDATA_API_SUPPORT when you build the library on Linux, then you can register for raw data callbacks and decode the data yourself.

Thank you Patrick.

It seems the bandwidth of the USB bus is fast enough. Is there any documentation / information regarding to the dataBuffer used in the library? I try to find out how it all works together.

There is no documentation for this, you will need to read the source.
