Getting Started - 1018 8/8/8

Postby HarryB » Thu Sep 04, 2014 10:08 am

Hello Board!

I want to get started building a data logging and comparison application.

We use FileMaker here and i have been looking for a while to make it control real world items. Now i found Phidgets and the 24U Plugin For FileMaker.

I have the P/N 1018 and two rotary encoders - the 3530 Optical Rotary Encoder and the 3532 Hollow Shaft Rotary Encoder.

Can someone point me in the direction of a good primer, showing me how to connect the encoders up to the interface? Where do i start with all this?!?!

Thank you for any direction you can point me in so i can start reading!

The 3530 Encoder connects to an encoder interface such as the 1047 or the 1057.

For more information on connecting the 3530, see the connection section on the 3530's product page.
