TemperatureSensor with Third Party K-type thermocouple

Postby dschultz » Tue Aug 06, 2013 9:35 pm

Hi:
Would a sensor such as this:
http://www.aemelectronics.com/k-type-th ... le-kit-644
or this:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcar ... 265&page=1

work with the 1048_0 - PhidgetTemperatureSensor 4-Input board to act as a 4 cylinder engine exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor?

You would need to find out if either is grounded. Grounded thermocouples require that you use a 3060 isolator in addition to the 1048 in order to work. If they are ungrounded then either would work fine.
