Snagg Microchip

Postby tuxpengs » Wed May 04, 2011 1:53 pm

Hell, I am having issues with getting an rfid tag branded by snagg.com, which are similar to these , to be read by the phidget rfid reader. I have also tried a different brand to read these tags and it wouldt read them either. Has anyone had any luck using these rfid tags with any rfid readers or do i have a pair of bad tags?

The Snagg tags aren't using EM4102, which is the only tag format that our reader can interpret, so you won't be able to read them. It looks like they're using the animal tag standard, which we may support with a future reader.

Thank You,
That makes sense, now off to find a different supplier for the tags it looks like then :D

Oh, i found out that snagg.com is a company we are building a system for, which would be why I couldnt find any info on them... >< Also the rfid reader they were using to read these was for reading the animal rfid tags so that would make sense, these are the animal style.
