connecting java and database for RFID phidget

Postby StayTuned » Thu Apr 14, 2011 5:20 am

Hi I just recently bought RFID phidget kit for my university's final project and still confused about the programming part.
I have already tested the kit and once I put those tag in the nearer to the phidget, it started reading the tag.
I intend to apply the phidget for my inventory management business case but may I know from you all that have experienced using this kit, what sort of improvement I might build other than just reading the tag?
I'm interested in knowing what capabilities this RFID phidget kit can provide for prototyping?
I have downloaded the sample code and now trying to modify them.
I also intend to build the database using mySQL but confuse about how to connect between the java that I am using (Eclipse or Netbeans) and mySQL?

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated
Thanks =)

make the MySQL driver jar visible to your project like you do it with your phidgets21.jar.

The MySQL Driver can be downloaded from here:
JDBC Driver for MySQL (Connector/J)
