Empty library upon loading

Postby Somers » Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:14 pm

I'am trying to do some programming and in such i started just be following the instructions.
Loading the library gives no problems until i use calllib. It gives me an error message:

[color=#FF0000]??? method was not found

Error in ==> C:\MATLAB6p5p1\toolbox\matlab\general\calllib.dll
Error in ==> C:\MATLAB6p5p1\work\phidget\Untitled.m
On line 4 ==> calllib('phidget21', 'CPhidgetInterfaceKit_create', ptr);

To see where it came from made me use libfunctions and showed that there is nothing in the library:

No methods for class lib.phidget21 or no class lib.phidget21.
ans = []

This seems to be kind a strange as i freshly installed everything. So i am wondering now if somebody knows whats going wrong here?

Thanks in advance!

Have you called loadlibrary on phidget21 with the header? Did you look at the getting started for Matlab? Have you tried using the examples? Have you installed the libraries? Are you using Windows?

1) Have you tested you Phidgets driver and library install by running the sample app for your device from the Phidget control panel? (Little Ph icon that should be sitting in your system tray)
2) do you have the phidget21Matlab.h in the same directory as your project code?

1) Sample app works normally, no problems there
2) The library (dll) is in the windows directory where it should, the *.h file is in the working directory

Calling headers seems kind of useless if the library loaded seems empty. The problem is the same with the example files..

Return to “Matlab”
