I am in an unusual situation. I want to kill or disable my RFID Tag. I am using RFID Tag - PVC 15mm Disc White. Thing is i have it super glued to one of my products. But now i want to get rid of this tag with a larger Tag i.e RFID Tag - PVC 30mm Disc White.

Can i somehow kill it by some command and just have another tag placed over it. I know that multiple tags would interfere so wanted to kill the superglued Tag. I read using the Phidget RFID Reader 1024_0B to read write this tags.

Kindly let me know your opinions

You can fry an RFID chip if you overpower it with enough inductance from a loop of wire (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_TyoJJkQsY)

But I would think it's probably easier to defeat the superglue than to build an RFID tag fryer.

You can probably use Acetone to un-glue the old tag.
