Retrieving raw sensor samples for data acquisition & logging

Postby naskies » Tue Feb 22, 2011 7:13 pm

I'm using an interface kit to perform data acquisition from analog sensors - 4 sensors each sampled at 1 ms intervals. Sample values (as far as I can see) can be retrieved using an InterfaceKitPhidget object using one of two ways: by manually polling .getSensorRawValue(), or by adding a SensorChangeListener.

Is it possible to retrieve the raw sample values coming from the interface kit, preferably timestamped/indexed?

According to the specs, when the analog sensors are being sampled with 1 ms resolution the interface kit will send 8 samples (8 ms worth of data) at a time to the computer. I'd like to log these values directly so that I don't have to deal with timing issues and delays in Java.

By the sound of your post it seems you want to access the data before it is sent from your phidget device to the data? As far as I know the phidget libraries can only act on data that arrives through the USB or network...
