Low luminance sensor

Postby aro » Mon May 12, 2014 5:03 pm

I am looking for a very low luminance sensor that will still interface with the Phidgets analog input. I have ordered and tested the 1142 and 1143 (and strangely enough found the 1143 had better responsiveness at low light levels) but neither goes low enough for my application.

Rather than a simple on-off, I am trying to sense the light levels in order to feed back to the brightness of an LED, and thus I need a pretty sensitive reading of the actual light level.

Any suggestions as to alternate sensors?
Thanks.

Any idea of what the actual level you need to be measuring is?

The actual levels I'm looking to detect are within the range of 0-100 lux.
