Controlling a laser module using phidget

Postby Tschew » Sat Feb 28, 2009 4:05 am

Hi,

I want to use an 0.1A 5V DC laser module and turn it on and off using a phidget interface kit.

I presume the 0/0/8 would do the trick quite easily. How would I go about it on the 0/16/16?

Hook +5V to the positive lead on your laser, hook the ground from the laser to a digital output, and connect the ground of your power supply to a ground pin on the 0/16/16.

This is really fun and easy. I made a video of how i connected my laser to my phidget interface kit. http://www.semicton.com/SandBox/TTLLase ... fault.aspx
