Segmentation Fault with Matlab and stepper motor

Postby conessa » Tue Sep 25, 2012 5:59 am

Hello,

i try to control my stepper motor (1063), with matlab R2009b. I installed the x86 library for matlab.
When i run stepper.m (phidget matlab example), the program makes a segmentation fault on this line:
calllib('phidget21', 'CPhidget_open', handle, serialNumber);

I try to test the program on 64 bits system but i have the same result.

i don't know how to solve this problem :(

You say you installed the x86 library for matlab, but were you on a 64-bit system at the time?

You need to do a few things to make our matlab libraries work on 64-bit computers:

I found the solution:
i add this line at the begining of the program:
addpath('C:\Program Files\Phidgets');
This is the directory where .lib files are.

Return to “Matlab”
