Building a strain gauge load cell

Postby Linetrash » Tue Dec 22, 2015 12:05 pm

I'm trying to build a station with 6 strain load cells anchored in different locations that will give independent values based on their loads (up to 200lbs) projected to LCD screens at their locations. With the desire to turn on system apply load and load cell produce lb values accurate to within 2lbs.

To start with just one it looks like I'll need:

3147 Strain sensor (ohm?)
1046 Bridge (amplifier?)
Download software
transformer input120VAC-5vdc output
LCD screen
What else?
