Re: SBC webservice stops

Hi Glenn,

I have had to shelf this for the time being. To be honest, I'm not sure when / if I will find time to look into it again. We are going to start the rewrite in January. I'll let you know when I start working on it again.

If there is anything else I can do, let me know.

Hello Patrick,

back late 2013, you mentioned your team would begin the webservice rewrite. Any news on this?

Cheers & thank you
Happy new year too

Hi,

The new webservice is written, we're just undergoing testing at this point. Release is planned for the 6-9 month timeframe.

Much appreciated Patrick (the reply).

Moot at this point, but on occasion, the mem usage would stop at a given value and remain fixed until a reboot, but this was rare (three times in the past two years). No idea why as my PC and app are operational 24/7 interrogating the SBCs.

Cheers

An old topic, and despite the much anticipated in house brewed new release of Phidget SBC web service, I only realized this week that I should try using cron to reboot the SBC on a regular basis to solve this memory leak - so simple, and works!

BTW, will the web service be compatible with SBC 1, 2 and 3?

Cheers

We'll release packages for SBC2 and SBC3, SBC1 may be out of luck, it's pretty underpowered and 10 years old now.

Thank you Patrick,

fortunately, the problematic SBC on WLAN is an SBC2, so I gather it will accept the new releases.

Cheers
