Noob problem: VC++ example times out

Postby colintan » Tue Oct 27, 2009 6:29 am

Hi all,

I've downloaded and compiled the Visual C++ examples, and have successfully compiled the precision temperature sensor example. However when I run the example, it cannot detect the sensor despite the fact that it's obviously attached. But yet when I use the Phidgets Control Panel, it can detect both the 8/8/8 board and the temperature sensor just fine. The sensor works great too.

I've checked and rechecked my project settings, and tried alternating between phidgets21.lib and phidgets21_x86.lib (I know they're probably the same, but I thought it's worth a try). Nothing works. I'm running Visual C++ 2008 and the Phidets 8/8/8 interface board.

Any help would be most appreciated. :)

Colin.

Are you trying to run the TemperatureSensor example file? because that is for the thermocouple temperature sensor.

You would want to run the InterfaceKit example.

Oooh ok I'll give that a try. The LED example doesn't work either but could be the same type of issue. Many thanks. :)
