Installing for MaxMSP

Postby nickw » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:18 am

Hi

I have just realised that the Max objects are only compatible with 32 bit MaxMSP. I need to install them in a lab for first thing tomorrow, and the lab is in use now. (didn't get it done this morning as I couldn't get it working with 64 bit version of Max that had been installed).

I won't have much time in the morning to test, so if anybody could confirm whether everything should be 32 bit (drivers as well as MaxMSP) it would enable me to sort it out quickly in the morning before the class starts.

We are working on releasing 64-bit externals, but I don't have a timeline. If you move to 32-bit Max then everything should work properly.

Thanks for quick reply.

It would be good if there was mention on the MaxMSP install page that it currently needs the 32bit version (or a more obvious one if it is there and I missed it).

Max support has now been updated for 64-bit. New externals are being released now with full support for Max 6.1 64-bit on Windows and OS X.
