Motion Sensor & Max 5 ?

Postby DavidT » Sat Nov 03, 2012 6:02 pm

Hello,
Is the Motion Sensor 1111 supported by Max 5?
Do you have a specific Max object for this?
Or can another Phidget Max object work ?

I'm running it through the 8-8-8 Interface into Max OS 10.8.6
Thanks

Sensors do not have an API or specific module for any language let alone Max/MSP. You use the interface kit to get information from them and that is the only interaction they have with your program. You then use the formula in the User Guide for the sensor to convert from sensorvalue into a more intuitive number.

What's curious is that when I open the Phidget Control panel, I see the sensors moving on the various channels. That's all good. But when I open the Interface Kit in Max, I don't see any life on any channel? I pressed 'Get Serial', as recommended, but got no reply? Also tried the various suggested poll methods ? Am I missing something?

Do you still have the Phidget Control Panel UI open when you do this? If you have the device already opened in one place it will not open in another unless you are using the WebService in both instances.
