Real free space in /mnt/userspace for SBC1

Postby jaromrax » Fri Jul 22, 2011 1:50 am

this is more a question on SBC1 filesystems:
I have a program few days running in the directory /mnt/userspace/userapps/c04_body (launched from web).
The code leaves quite a detailed log file in this directory (named log.out). I expected to fill up the free space in a day, but what I see now puzzles me - I have a 10MB file on 5.7MB device. Did I miss something in the manual?

Code: Select all

[root@phidget001 c04_body]# ls -lh
total 10294
-rw-------    1 root     root         401 Jul 15 14:38 ahoj.bas
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root       81.0K Jul 20 09:03 c04_body
-rw-------    1 root     root         603 Jul 15 14:38 config.sbc1_1
-rwx------    1 root     root       32.7K Jul 15 14:39 lcdscroll
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       9.9M Jul 22 09:46 log.out

[root@phidget001 c04_body]# df -h
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root                50.0M     44.9M      5.1M  90% /
/dev/mtdblock6            5.7M      2.3M      3.4M  41% /mnt/userspace
tmpfs                    29.7M      3.9M     25.8M  13% /tmp

JFFS2 is a compressed filesystem and your logfile is probably very compressible.
