Tweak TemperatureSensor-full.exe to give farenheight temp

Postby that_guy » Thu Apr 19, 2012 9:47 am

Hi all,

I have a 1045 IR temperature sensor. I have old time programing experience and I don't know much about VB.

I want to start by doing something simple like modifying TemperatureSensor-full.exe so that it outputs farenheight instead of celsius.

How do I get started on this?

Take a look at the code. Find the line where the code sets the value for the temperature output box (line 100ish) and then instead of straight writing it in, perform the calculation first.

OK, now where do I get the uncompiled code for "TemperatureSensor-full" ?

I can only find an .exe file

Can I modify the exe file? If so, how?

No you cannot modify an exe. Source code is available from our website on the programming resources page.
