Unable to adjust accelorometer sensitivity

Postby ozkhan » Mon Oct 05, 2009 2:36 am

Hi,

Can anyone advise what the trick is to changing the sensitivity of the accelormeter?

When I run the Phidget control panel, it works. I can change the sensitivity using the slider.

When I run my vb.net program, I set the sensitivity after attaching. I read the value of sensitivity, which is what I have set it to, but it has no effect on the reading I'm getting.

For example, when I set it to .05 using the Phidget Control Panel it stops fluctuating.

When I set it to .05 in my VB program, it just keeps fluctuating, like it did with the Phidget control panel set to 0. However, when reading the sensitivity value, it tells me it is .05 on all three axis.

Regards,

James

I worked it out.

It was because I was reading the accelorometer using a vb timer.

Have changed it to using the on change event of the accelorometer and that has given me the desired effect.
