How can I display non-standard characters to PhidgetTextLCD?

Postby alexannic » Mon Jun 08, 2009 4:56 am

Hello,

I would like to display non-standard characters to a PhidgetTextLCD, specifically the greek alphabet. The range 0x08 - 0xff mentioned in the Appendix A of the PhidgetTextLCD includes some greek characters, but most of them are not there.

Also, the PhidgetTextLCD has a limitation of 8 custom characters, so I cannot embed the whole alphabet using custom characters.

Is there a way to show non-standard unicode characters to the display?

Thanks for the help!

Regards,
Alex

No, you can only display the built-in character set plus 8 custom characters.
