RFID & getDeviceLabel

Postby atthe » Mon Apr 18, 2011 10:20 am

Hello,

I tried to use code, similar to the code we used for InterfaceKit in order to set/read labels from RFID board. While this is possible in terms of code, we always get timeout error, so probably this functionality not supported for RFID. Can you confirm this please (I was not able to find such a clear statement in documentation).

Thanks

You shouldn't ever get a timeout while reading deviceLabel, and if setting is not supported, you should get an unsupported exception. Whether labels are supported on your RFID reader depends on the version of the reader.

What is your reader version? Can you enable logging in your application and see if there are any messages when setLabel/getLabel fail?

Thanks for your reply and sorry for my question. I was wrong with it. When I tested it accurately I found that I can set/read label of RFID.
