Detect stalled stepper with 1067 controller

Post by amelia »

I have read that detecting a stalled stepper is possible for 1063 controller by checking current values through the function "Current()", but this function is not available for the 1067 controller. Does anybody know how to detect it with 1067?

Thanks.

Really your best option is to use an encoder or something similar on the back of the motor if you expect a high likelihood of your motor stalling. There is no good way to detect this directly from the 1067.

Ok, thank you very much. We will try the encoder option.
