Pneumatic Phidget Driven Worm Emulation

We created a clockwork pharynx. Pneumatic model of the Pharynx (mouth parts) of the Caenorhabditis elegans - a transparent nematode (worm)

Uses Phidget 8/8/8, 0/0/4, and pressure sensor. Java API for the controller.

8/8/8 is giving us some random detatchments under winXP but otherwise working well.

That is awesome, good video too, sort of sci fi like, creepy (no offense intended). What is the squiggly line in the Ying Yang symbol? A worm I take it, that's neat. Cap

Thanks Cap - You're right - I actually had to resist the urge to put some b-movie sci-fi soundtrack behind it :) . One thing I've discovered, you can't use the phrase "I'm going to build a giant worm out of vinyl" and have the conversation stay serious very long.

Squiglys are neurons.
