Project:
I set out to design and build a simple functional walking biped with as few servo drivers as possible. I decided on this particular design based on the fact that it only requires 2 points of rotation to walk. I feel the base design is solid and I also feel any Meccano fan could have this up and walking in no time.
This design incorporates two standard hobby servos for movement, Hitec HS322HDs. For control we will be testing a Phidget 1061 Advanced Servo 8 motor usb control board. Example code will be provided along with software to get you started quickly. Everything else used was Meccano (erector). The project yielded an 8 ¼ in tall walker that most any physical science teacher would adore!

I tell ya they are alot of fun, and the kids can get in on the fun too. Family fun, hehe. I had lost or disposed of most of my old random toys such as my erector sets. Glad my wife spotted these and thought of me :)
