interfacing an 3 axes joystick controller. Need help!!!

Postby kenlim777 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 12:48 am

I'm trying to use a logitech 3D joystick to use as an analog input on 1019 - PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 w/6 Port Hub. To hopefully control 3 servos individually. Is this possible????
My current status:
I only know how to hardcode the movements of the servos (total 3 of them) using Visual studio 2008. By connecting them to 1061 - PhidgetAdvancedServo 8-Motor.
Here are the list of equipments i currently have to make my project work:
-1061 - PhidgetAdvancedServo 8-Motor
-1018 - PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8
-1019 - PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 w/6 Port Hub (will be getting)
-3000 - Hitec HS-422 Deluxe Servo x4
-logitech 3D joystick

While your joystick is on com by USB (I guess) your best chance is finding a way to interface the USB to your VB app.

To solve it the analogue way, you will have to get an analogue joystick witch should interface easily to the AIs on your board.

I'm just a beginner but here are two of my VI's. See if they will help explain anything. Sorry I don't know enough to answere any specifics but am glad to share what I've done. This Forum won't allow uploads of VI's so here is a link to mine.
