Flash player 10 breaks phidgets API

Postby armandokeller » Fri Oct 17, 2008 5:49 am

The new version of flash player 10 (released this week) breaks the phidgets API , Authorization error. (also the phidgets examples don't work, the same work in flash player 10 beta version) :P
Maybe some crossdomain.xml can fix this problem, but where i put the xml ?
I really need to make this work with flash player 10. ( or i will need to dispath the event by python or C )

Any suggestion?

tnks.

crossdomain.xml

Usually the crossdomain.xml file is a simple file placed on the server that allows connections to and from another server so that the server know the communication is trusted. It's a security thing. I've used it for AICC communications between internal servers with different domain names.

The webservice itself serves up the xml security file. If you are seeing an authorization error - is this being thrown by the Phidgets error event, or is it an error internal to Flash itself?
