NEMA-17 Bipolar 20mm Stepper

ID: 3305_0

This compact bipolar stepper has a 1.8° step angle and 450 g·cm of torque at low speeds.

Discontinued

Replaced by the 3324_0, a similar stepper motor.

This motor is a NEMA-17 motor that is only 20mm long. Great for projects where space is restricted and that do not require too much torque.

The 3305 stepper motor connects to a bipolar motor controller such as the 1067 - PhidgetStepper Bipolar HC.

The following diagrams show how to connect the motor wires to the board connectors to produce a clockwise rotation in the stepper motor when increasing position. Refer to whichever diagram matches your motor's wire colors. To wire for counter-clockwise rotation when increasing position, reverse the C and D wires.

FUNCTIONAL FUNCTIONAL

Note: Make sure to unplug the power cord from the motor controller before switching wires around.

Warning

warning Connecting the motor directly to a power supply will destroy the motor and void the warranty. If you want to check your motor make sure it is connected to a constant current / chopper drive controller.
