Hi,

I have connected a hall-effect sensor to a 1057 hi-speed encoder. It works, but I get a PositionChange event every time the sensor changes position from -1 to 1 and 1 to -1, which limits the maximum RPM I can measure. I assume this is because I don't use a quadrature encoder.

I see that the encoder chip (the LS7366R) supports both quaderature and non-quaderature count mode. Is it possible for me to program the registers of the LS7366?

Is it possible to poll the encoder to get the number of counts and time since last poll?
