I would like to "search" for available Phidgets using Bonjour/Zeroconf in a Python script. The purpose is to populate a menu selection gui. The result should be something like the Bonjour tab on the Phidgets Pref pane in MacOS.

I have found the pyjld code and besides not being able to get it to run on Mac OS (10.7) it seems like more than I need. Does anyone here have any example code for doing this?

You can do this using the Phidgets Python library - just specify null as the serverID parameter when calling openRemote on a Manager object. This will list all Phidgets on the network rather then just at a specific serverID.
