I'm developing a system using VB.NET under VS2010. I gleaned all of the code from the RFID Simple app and while my app seems to attach to the RFID Reader, it doesn't read any tags.

If I open run the VS2005 RFID Simple app, that works fine. If I then run my 2012 app, everything works.

Anyone got any ideas. I'm running on Windows 7 64bit.

Are you making sure to enable the antenna when you open the project for the first time? The Reader will not pick up tags if the antenna is disabled.
