I have removed the rotary encoder from a sound processor in my car so that I could relocate it. It works and is very convenient in it's new location but I saw the 1015_0 Linear Touch sensor and the gears started turning. How difficult would it be to get a 2 square wave output out of this, one 90 degrees offset from the other, without the use of a PC? I have a PC in my car already but I am trying to keep the control of all of my audio functions independent from the computer. Is this even possible with this particular piece? Any help would be great!

This device requires an active USB connection. So while a PC is not necessarily required, a computer of some kind (with a USB host controller) is.
